Google has announced important news about its new generation smartphones – the Pixel 10 series. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Android Authority, these devices are equipped with a special function that monitors battery health. This function gradually limits the battery's maximum capacity over time.
The company emphasizes that the new system monitors battery health and begins to gradually reduce the maximum capacity starting from 200 charge cycles. This process continues slowly, and by 1000 cycles, the battery's capacity significantly decreases.
As a result, the usage time on a single charge shortens, but in the long term, the overall lifespan of the smartphone battery is extended. Additionally, leading companies like Samsung and Oppo claim that their smartphone batteries retain 80% of their health even after 1600 to 2000 cycles.
Google, however, limits this indicator to 1000 cycles. This situation has sparked various debates among users.
For reference, Google applied a similar approach in the Pixel 9a model. In that case, the company tried to address safety issues by limiting the battery's maximum capacity, as there were reports of some devices having a risk of battery overheating.
In conclusion, Google's new decision is aimed at ensuring battery safety and long-lasting performance. However, compared to competitors' indicators, it is clear that there are various discussions around the lower number of cycles for the Pixel 10 series.
This issue is important for users, and more advanced solutions are expected in the future.
