Google still holds 95% of the search market share
Google is losing market share, but still controls 95%.
While artificial intelligence-based search engines are developing, Google remains without competitors. According to the Seranking 2024 report, the company's share in the search market has decreased by 0.91%, but it still provides 95% of organic traffic.
The closest competitor, Microsoft Bing, has reached 3.51% with a 0.17% increase. DuckDuckGo and Yahoo still hold less than 1% of the market share.
Artificial intelligence searches are becoming popular
In 2024, ChatGPT searches rapidly developed, reaching a 0.09% market share, while Perplexity increased to 0.02%. However, these results do not significantly impact Google's positions.
Microsoft is planning to attract Google users by implementing artificial intelligence integration into Bing. However, Google is maintaining its leadership with innovative technologies like AI Overviews and Gemini 2.0.
For now, Google holds a 24 times larger share, remaining the absolute leader in the search market.
