Steam will stop supporting 32-bit Windows operating systems starting from January 1, 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was provided on Steam’s official website. Currently, Steam only supports the 32-bit version of Windows 10, but the number of users using this system is very small – only 0.01 percent.
In the future, Steam will continue to operate only on 64-bit Windows operating systems. The 64-bit version of Windows 10 will still be supported and will allow playing 32-bit games.
However, no updates, including security updates, will be provided for the Steam application on 32-bit Windows systems. Steam will not be able to assist 32-bit system users with technical issues.
Therefore, users are advised to switch to a 64-bit Windows operating system for stable and secure performance. This, in turn, ensures the smooth operation of games and applications.
Steam users can update their operating systems to fully utilize modern features.
