In the Oqdaryo district of Samarkand region, the Chinese company Yaxing Guoji Maoyi will start producing several products as part of a $28 million project. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The uz24.uz website reported on this project. According to the project, the factory will produce non-alcoholic beverages, laundry detergent, two- and four-wheeled electric scooters, as well as solar-powered street lights.
These products will be localized and manufactured in Samarkand for the first time. The investors emphasized the need for a road to the Dahbed area, where the branch of the "Urgut" free economic zone is located, and requested infrastructural support from the regional governor.
The project is expected to start operating in February 2026. At the same time, it is planned to create 40 new jobs as a result of the project.
This will contribute to the development of the region's economy and increase employment among the population.
