Samsung is preparing to unveil its first Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to South Korean media, this device will be showcased at the ATES summit held in Gyeongju from October 31 to November 1. Earlier, a smaller version of the device was presented at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025, and now a fully functional model will be demonstrated.
The Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone features a G-shaped special mechanism and a dual-hinge design. When fully unfolded, the screen diagonal measures 9.96 inches, while in the closed state it is 6.5 inches.
As for technical specifications, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and internal storage ranging from 256 gigabytes to 1 terabyte. The device runs on Android 16 operating system with the One UI 8 interface.
The camera module consists of a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 5x zoom capability. Additionally, there are two 10-megapixel front selfie cameras.
The battery is made from a new silicon-carbon material, which ensures efficient performance and prevents overheating. Samsung will produce the Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone in limited quantities.
The initial batch is expected not to exceed 50,000 units. The device will initially be released in the South Korean and Chinese markets, with no clear information yet about deliveries to other countries.
The price starts at approximately $3,000, making it a unique product for technology enthusiasts and followers of new devices. The company aims to successfully introduce this new format to the market.
If production volumes increase and prices decrease slightly, the Galaxy Z TriFold could hold an important place in the future not only as a concept but also in practical sales.
