Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, presented a video of the new autonomous robot – Optimus – during combat training on his social media page X. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the video, the robot is seen participating in kung-fu training with a human, responding synchronously to movements. Strikes and defensive blocks are performed in a coordinated manner, with movements resembling dancing.
According to Musk, the robot operates independently using built-in artificial intelligence and functions without human control. Additionally, its speed and smoothness of movements have been significantly improved.
Ashok Elluswami, Tesla’s Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, stated that the company is actively working on creating a unified artificial intelligence platform for both Optimus robots and autopilot-equipped electric vehicles. Tesla Optimus was first introduced on August 19, 2021, and a working prototype was showcased in 2022.
The device is planned to be released to the public in 2026. The development of this robot will significantly ease human activities in industry and everyday life.
Optimus’s study of martial arts helps enhance its ability to perform complex tasks. Tesla aims to secure leading positions in the technology sector with its new achievements in artificial intelligence.
The autonomous movement of robots and their ability to collaborate effectively with humans are expected to cause revolutionary changes in many fields in the future.
