Meta company plans to introduce a new system that allows parents to monitor teenagers' conversations conducted with the help of artificial intelligence. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made following criticism about chatbots engaging in inappropriate communication with teenagers. Through the new feature, parents will be able to delete their children's personal conversations with artificial intelligence or view the general topics they are discussing.
Meta company will launch this feature at the beginning of 2026 in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia via the Instagram platform. Additionally, Meta representatives emphasized that chatbots will not engage in conversations with teenagers on harmful topics, particularly issues such as suicide or eating disorders.
This new system aims to enhance teenagers' online safety and provide parents with better control over their children's internet activities. Meta company intends to strengthen the protection of young users through this innovation.
