According to Japan's Mizuho Securities investment company, Apple is postponing the production of its first foldable iPhone model until 2027. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The company explained this decision by the need to further improve the smartphone design. Additionally, the plan for display production for the new device has been reduced from the initially planned 13 million units to 9 million units.
The foldable iPhone model is expected to be presented as part of the 18-series. Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the foldable iPhone might be released in the fall of 2026.
This new device will resemble Android phones that open like a book. According to information, the new model will feature an 8-inch main OLED display and a 5-inch external display.
This device is being developed to provide convenience to users and offer advanced technologies. Apple prefers to spend time enhancing quality and functionality.
For this reason, the release of the foldable iPhone is slightly delayed. This situation may differ from market expectations but is not expected to negatively affect the product's quality.
Apple strives to make the new model as perfect and reliable as possible.
