Eight hundred dollars were paid for a simple greeting
The rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies and their unexpected actions on social networks are sparking heated discussions. Zamin.uz reported on this matter.

Users noticed an interesting situation involving a virtual model named GPT 5.4 Pro, allegedly belonging to OpenAI. It turns out that this artificial intelligence has turned even the process of a simple greeting into an extremely complex analysis.

Sharing his experience with the public, a user named Yuchen Jin stated that he simply introduced himself and sent a simple greeting to the artificial intelligence. However, the model spent five minutes and eighteen seconds thinking before providing a response.

Most interestingly, this very simple interaction cost the user eight hundred dollars. Such an incident has further intensified criticisms regarding artificial intelligence overthinking or inefficiently allocating resources in the technology world.

According to experts, although modern artificial intelligence models are adapted to perform complex tasks, they sometimes analyze even simple commands too deeply, wasting unnecessary time and money. This event sparked laughter and amazement among users.

Many attribute such technological errors to the fact that artificial intelligence is not yet perfect and requires further optimization in the future. Additional reforms are expected to be implemented in programming processes in the coming periods to prevent similar incidents.
