Google to Launch Unified Android and Chrome OS System in 2026

Google Corporation plans to present its new operating system to the world next year, in 2026. Zamin.uz reported on this.
This project is currently referred to as Aluminium, though this is merely a temporary working name. The official name of the system will be announced later.
Previously, various rumors circulated among internet users suggesting that the release of the new software might be delayed until 2028. However, Samir Samat, a leading expert on the Android system, refuted these rumors at the world mobile communications exhibition held in Barcelona.
He confirmed that the system will be launched by the scheduled date, namely in 2026. The new platform combines the strongest features of both Android and Chrome OS.
By merging the capabilities of these two systems, Google aims to strengthen its position in the laptop and personal computer market. The rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies is fundamentally changing how people use computers.
The Aluminium system is being created precisely to meet these new demands and further simplify users' daily lives. The system's main advantage is seamless collaboration between smartphones and computers.
Currently, Apple offers a special feature that allows users to continue tasks started on one device across its ecosystem. In the future, this functionality will be fully implemented on Android devices as well.
As a result, users will be able to continue tasks started on their phones on computers without any obstacles. Although Google does not plan to completely discontinue Chrome OS for now, it is expected that in the future all major resources and focus will be directed toward the new platform.
This will contribute to creating a more efficient and convenient environment in the digital world.
