Singapore Scientists Create a Device That Generates Electricity from Air and Heat

Scientists at the National University of Singapore have developed a new device that continuously generates electricity day and night by utilizing air and heat from the environment. Zamin.uz reported on this.
This project is seen as a strong competitor to traditional solar panels and is expected to significantly reduce household electricity costs in the future. The technology presented by researchers is based on a special fabric only 0.3 millimeters thick, making it extremely thin and lightweight.
This device has the ability to absorb humidity and heat from the air and convert them directly into electricity. During tests, the device successfully maintained a constant voltage of 0.7 volts for more than several weeks.
The main operating principle of the device is based on a special material called hygroscopic ionic hydrogel. This substance attracts moisture from the air and converts it into an electric charge.
Although this technology is currently in the testing phase, it is clear that it will bring significant changes to the energy sector in the future. Competition in the energy market is intensifying, and the number of alternative solutions is also increasing.
For example, the portable wind turbine named Shine 2.0, developed by Canada's Aurea Technologies company, is also gaining significant attention. This turbine is very small in size and can be placed inside a regular backpack.
This device generates up to 50 watts of power even in weak winds and stores the generated energy in its internal battery. Such new innovations will help make future energy supply more convenient, affordable, and resilient.
Humanity is taking serious steps to meet its needs by utilizing nature. These developments create opportunities for every family to reduce electricity bills and contribute to the development of clean energy sources that do not harm the environment.
The advancement of advanced technologies is aimed at ensuring bright and warm days and nights for everyone, which represents a great opportunity for future generations. Thanks to the efforts of scientists, an energy revolution has begun, and new solutions are emerging on an international scale.
