Hopes for Artificial Intelligence and the Views of the World's Population

Anthropic has released the results of the largest study on global public opinion regarding artificial intelligence. Zamin.uz reported this.
This report was prepared based on conversations with over 800,000 users speaking 70 languages from 159 countries. Instead of a simple question-and-answer format, the study allowed users to communicate in real time with an AI conversational partner and freely express their opinions.
The results show that people's primary hope is to improve work processes and increase efficiency. Nearly half of the respondents emphasized their desire to delegate repetitive and simple tasks to artificial intelligence in order to focus on more complex and creative work.
Personal development and organizing daily life are also of significant importance to users. According to overall indicators, more than 80 percent of people stated that artificial intelligence helped them achieve their goals, citing time savings as the greatest benefit.
Although hopes are high, concerns remain. Users expressed the most fear regarding unreliable answers, a reduction in job numbers, and the risk of losing human independence.
On average, respondents expressed more than two serious concerns. This indicates that public trust is the biggest obstacle to fully embracing artificial intelligence.
Opinions in the education sector are also divided. While many consider AI a useful learning tool, some worry about the weakening of students' independent thinking abilities.
Nevertheless, overall, two-thirds of participants view artificial intelligence positively. While people recognize this technology as a life-changing force, they remain cautious about its future impact and consequences for human thought.
