Meta and Amazon Reach Agreement on Artificial Intelligence Development

Meta Corporation has reached a major agreement with Amazon to further enhance its artificial intelligence systems. Under the contract, Meta will gain access to millions of proprietary processors.
Specifically, AWS Graviton chips are intended to handle complex tasks for AI-powered smart assistants. This strategic move clearly demonstrates that the demand for central processing units is growing rapidly alongside graphics processors in today's tech world.
Graviton chips are specifically optimized for high-compute processes such as real-time inference, software coding, and complex search operations. This partnership will see Meta direct more of its investment toward Amazon's cloud technologies compared to other competitors.
Notably, Meta and Google previously signed a major ten-billion-dollar deal, but the new agreement is expected to shift the balance of power. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, in an official letter to shareholders, noted that large enterprises are currently seeking the optimal balance between cost and performance in the AI field.
The company aims to compete effectively with giants like Nvidia and Intel. Currently, Amazon is actively developing not only versatile processors but also Trainium chips, specifically designed for training AI models.
Such technological innovations will undoubtedly take the speed and quality of digital services to a new level in the future.
