In the US, owner found stolen computer through the internet

In the United States of America, a case involving the theft of a compact computer device ended with unexpected details. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The real owner of the device managed to find the thief through online marketplaces. According to one social media user, he had ordered a new generation computer in mid-spring.
However, due to product shortages on the market, he had to wait nearly a month for the device. The main problem arose during the delivery process.
The courier service employee, instead of leaving the box containing the expensive device at the apartment door, left it in the building's common hallway, which was open to everyone. As a result, the unattended technology was stolen by unknown individuals.
When the victim reported this unfortunate incident to his manager, the experienced boss advised him to monitor advertisements on social networks, noting that stolen items are often put up for sale in trading groups. As a result of the observations, photos of the stolen device were identified in one of the listings on an online marketplace.
The attentive user noticed two important pieces of evidence in the photos. First, the serial number of the device fully matched the data on the purchase receipt.
Second, the license plate of a car visible in the background of the photo was also discernible. It turned out that this car was the very same vehicle that was permanently parked in the parking lot of the residential building where the victim lives.
This circumstance confirmed that the thief lives in that very building. After this, the citizen immediately filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies and the building management company.
The manufacturing company also studied the situation and decided to deliver a new product to the customer. Nevertheless, due to high demand and product shortages on the market, the user will have to wait for his new computer until early summer.
This incident once again demonstrated the importance of exercising caution when receiving expensive items purchased online.
