Researchers broke into Anthropic company's highly dangerous artificial intelligence system

A group of amateur researchers operating on the Discord platform have found a way to gain unauthorized access to the Mythos Preview artificial intelligence model developed by the Anthropic company. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This system is intended for identifying weak points in software, and since the company considered it highly dangerous, it had strictly restricted access to it. According to information, the users managed to access the system not by carrying out complex hacker attacks, but simply by analyzing public information and guessing internet addresses.
This event shows that the protection system of modern technological developments may be much weaker than expected. At the same time, other serious incidents have been recorded in the field of cybersecurity.
According to information from the Citizen Lab organization, two spy firms, taking advantage of flaws in telecommunications protocols, have been covertly monitoring the location of high-ranking individuals. These actions, carried out through small communication operators in Israel and the United Kingdom, demonstrate that the security of global communication systems is still not fully ensured.
The fact that with such methods there is a possibility to remotely monitor a person's movement at any point in the world is causing concern among experts. The US Department of Justice has announced official charges against the leaders of a large criminal group engaged in human trafficking and digital currency fraud in the Southeast Asian region.
These groups, located in the territories of Myanmar and Cambodia, lured people with false promises of work and forced them to work in million-dollar fraud schemes. As a result of a large-scale operation, law enforcement agencies managed to freeze seven hundred million dollars worth of funds related to this criminal activity.
In the United Kingdom, a case related to a particularly serious data leak has been detected. The personal medical data of half a million citizens belonging to the UK Biobank project was put up for sale on one of the international trading platforms.
As a result of the breach of the agreement concluded with research institutes, genetic data and the results of complex medical analyses fell into the hands of unauthorized persons. Currently, trading of this data has been stopped, and the offending organizations' rights to use the system have been completely revoked.
These events have once again confirmed how complex a task it is to preserve the inviolability of personal data in the digital world.
