The procedure for identifying, registering, and monitoring animals in Uzbekistan has been strengthened by a new law. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The recently adopted law on "Identification, registration, and monitoring of animals" has created a legal basis for regulating activities in this area. According to it, all animals kept or bred by individuals or legal entities in the territory of Uzbekistan must be identified and registered in a special manner.
This process is monitored by the Committee for Veterinary and Livestock Development, designated as the competent state authority. The law specifies the deadlines for animal registration.
For example, cattle, sheep, goats, and camels must be registered within 14 days after birth, horses within 4 months, pigs within 1 month, and dogs and cats within 3 months. After the specified deadlines, animals must undergo identification within another month.
Additionally, animals brought from abroad must be accounted for within 21 days after entering the country. This law aims to improve the health and monitoring of animals, as well as to accurately track their condition.
