The Ministry of Health has recently reported an increase in health problems related to cosmetology services. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Many women on social networks complain about visiting cosmetologists but not achieving the expected results or experiencing adverse effects. Research shows that such cases are rare in licensed medical institutions.
Most problems arise from individuals operating without a license. Currently, 147 non-governmental medical organizations in Uzbekistan have officially obtained licenses to provide cosmetology services, 94 of which are located in Tashkent city.
At the same time, beauty salons and institutions without medical status also offer cosmetology services, which further increases the problems. Ulugbek Sabirov, director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology, emphasizes that the activity of persons without medical knowledge in the field of cosmetology is the main issue.
Such activities are not sufficiently controlled by the Ministry of Health. Therefore, the ministry has developed the "Procedure for Providing Medical Cosmetology Services" regulation, which clearly defines the requirements for state institutions and doctor-cosmetologists (source: zamin.uz).
