In 2025, opportunities for school graduates to be admitted to higher education institutions significantly improved. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, this year 619 graduates scored the highest exam score — 189 points. This indicator is considered a major achievement compared to previous years.
84.2 percent of the state grant quota, that is, 29,881 graduates, were allocated. At the same time, it was noted that the admission of school graduates to higher education institutions increased by 3.5 percent over the past three years.
This situation is related to positive changes in the education system and the improvement of graduates' preparation levels. This year, 75 percent of 438,869 graduates actively participated in the test exams.
Of them, 25.8 percent, or 113,176, successfully gained admission to state higher education institutions. This result indicates an increase in the quality of education and the knowledge level of applicants in the country.
By region, the highest admission rates were in Navoi region at 48.4 percent, Bukhara region at 38.2 percent, and Jizzakh region at 32.4 percent. Also, the highest average score for admission to higher education reached 96 points in Bukhara region.
This demonstrates the high level of preparation of graduates in local educational institutions. However, 41.29 percent of the 614,768 applicants who took the exam did not reach the minimum passing score of 56.7 points.
This situation shows that there are still difficulties in the higher education admission process and that competition remains high. The source of this information is the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
