According to statistical data published by the Tashkent city administration through the Open Data Portal, a total of 32,028 road traffic accidents (RTAs) were recorded across the Republic from 2018 to August 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These figures clearly reflect the state of road traffic safety and the transport system in the capital. According to experts, the average annual number of RTAs from 2018 to 2024 was 4,350.
However, in 2025, this figure increased by 10.02%. In particular, the new rules that came into effect on April 1, 2023 — reducing the speed limit in cities from 70 km/h to 60 km/h — played an important role in this increase.

During April-July of the current year, an average of 630-640 road traffic accidents were recorded each month.
