A new state technical institute has been established in Olmaliq. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As an important innovation in the education system of Uzbekistan, a presidential decree "On the establishment of Olmaliq State Technical Institute" has been signed. According to this decree, an independent Olmaliq State Technical Institute will be launched based on the Olmaliq branch of Tashkent State Technical University.
This change will not only improve the quality of education but also create new opportunities for students. Currently, all students studying at the branch will continue their education at the new institute.
Starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, graduating students will be awarded a fully accredited institute diploma. This will help strengthen their future careers and positions in the labor market.
Additionally, paid internships will be introduced for senior students, allowing them to acquire practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. An advanced engineering school specializing in geology, metallurgy, and technical fields — "GeoMetTex" — will be established at the new institute.
At this school, talented students with high academic performance will receive education based on programs focused on specialized practical training. Furthermore, within the framework of "GeoMetTex," industry partners relevant to the fields will be designated, and modern laboratories will be established in cooperation with them.
This will provide students with the opportunity to master technical and technological knowledge more effectively. This decree is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of the education system in Olmaliq and play an important role in training a new generation of engineers.
