Former US President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the "C5+1" summit held in Washington on the Truth Social social network. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He assessed this summit as the beginning of a new and strong cooperation with Uzbekistan and the Central Asian countries. According to Trump, Central Asia is a strategically important region located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
This region has rich natural resources, including mineral reserves, hydrocarbons, and highly potential human resources. Donald Trump expressed his intention to actively participate in these processes as the US president.
He emphasized that as a result of the summit, the parties signed contracts worth billions of dollars. According to him, the agreements will serve to create new jobs in the US in sectors such as aviation and mineral resource extraction.
Additionally, Uzbekistan is expected to direct $35 billion to the US economy by 2028, and over $100 billion in the next ten years. During Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the US, a number of important documents were signed.
Among them are cooperation agreements on the development of rare earth elements, the purchase of 22 aircraft from Boeing, as well as agreements on the procurement of shadow products. During the summit, Mirziyoyev emphasized that only the current US president is capable of stopping the war in Ukraine.
The Uzbek leader expressed gratitude to Trump for his attention to Central Asia and noted that he is called the "president of peace" in Uzbekistan.
