The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) has implemented a new initiative to further improve the national team's preparation for the 2026 World Cup. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The organization's press service reported this. It was announced that an experienced head chef and sports nutritionist from Spain have been recruited to the team staff.
Their tasks include ensuring the players' healthy and balanced nutrition, accelerating recovery processes, and improving overall physical fitness. According to UFA, this program is aimed at developing an individual nutrition plan for the players.
The diet is tailored to each player's body's needs. This allows increasing the players' endurance on the field as well as speeding up physical recovery processes.
Additionally, in November, the Uzbekistan national team will participate in an international friendly tournament held in Dubai as part of FIFA days. The tournament will feature the national teams of Uzbekistan, Iran, Egypt, and Cape Verde competing.
The matches will take place at the "Hazza bin Zayed" stadium. It is worth noting that recently it was reported that Timur Kapadze, the former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, has left his position.
The involvement of new specialists is expected to raise the team's preparation level and serve the goal of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
