Reports of more than 9,000 elevator malfunctions in the city of Tashkent are not true. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
An official statement was made by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services. According to the ministry, the information circulating on social media is incorrect, and some deficiencies recorded during technical inspections do not mean that the elevators are out of order.
According to official information, technical inspections are part of preventive control. This process is aimed at ensuring safety when using elevators.
Necessary measures are taken regarding the problems identified during the inspection. Therefore, it was emphasized that conclusions about these elevators being faulty or non-operational are incorrect.
Additionally, the ministry noted that in recent years, a number of programs have been implemented in Tashkent to renew elevators and improve the maintenance system. These efforts are aimed at ensuring the safety of the population and the stable operation of elevators.
For this reason, it is recommended to rely on official information and not to trust false reports circulating on social media.
