A unified center for traffic management is planned to be established in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This initiative was supported by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a presentation dedicated to the development of the capital's transport system. The main tasks of the new center will include analyzing the flow of transport and pedestrians, managing the intelligent transport system, developing infrastructure for parking lots and electric vehicles, as well as creating the city's transport plan.
In recent years, public transport in Tashkent has developed significantly. In particular, the number of buses has reached 1,900, and the intervals between their movements have been reduced to 15 minutes.
The metro network has been extended to 70.5 kilometers, covering 50 stations. The new center will use modern technologies, including cameras, sensors, GPS data, and artificial intelligence.
As a result, it will be possible to predict traffic jams in advance, optimize routes, adjust traffic lights, and mobilize rapid response services for road accidents. This project aims to make traffic management more efficient, reduce congestion, and ensure timely arrival of emergency services.
The pilot project is planned to be launched this year and is intended to be expanded across the country by 2030 (source: zamin.uz).
