A new regulation is being introduced in the construction sector in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This regulation is aimed at the legal registration of houses and structures built by citizens, as well as ensuring the targeted use of land. The draft resolution developed by the Cabinet of Ministers sets clear rules for legalizing unauthorized constructions.
This document serves to ensure the implementation of the law "On recognizing rights to land plots occupied without authorization and buildings and structures constructed on them." It includes a number of important innovations.
In particular, working groups will conduct a phased inventory of all types of real estate. During this process, citizens will not be required to submit applications; all activities will be carried out on the initiative of the state.
Information about the identified objects will be entered into a special "Recognition" information system. Additionally, buildings permitted for construction by the Cadastre Agency will be registered in the state registry.
If illegal constructions are identified during the inventory, citizens will be informed about how they can legalize them. Information on objects not legalized within three months will be sent to the relevant authorities.
For example, the Cadastre Agency will provide data to the Tax Committee, and the Ministry of Construction will submit information to the control inspection. This procedure helps prevent irregularities related to land and housing.
The new mechanism is of great importance for protecting citizens' property rights, ensuring transparency in the construction sector, and preventing disputes in the future. From now on, all buildings and structures will be accounted for based on an accurate registry.
