Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed developing a "roadmap" for the gradual elimination of trade barriers and simplification of procedures at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He suggested establishing a joint "Uzbekistan–EAEU" coordinating group to address differences in technical regulation, certification, and customs administration. Additionally, the head of state proposed forming a common project list in machinery, energy, agriculture, chemistry, and other sectors.
He emphasized the need to develop a plan within the framework of the Eurasian Development Bank for infrastructure and "green" projects, as well as support for small and medium-sized businesses. Mirziyoyev also proposed creating a "roadmap" for integrating digital platforms, including the development of e-commerce and digital labeling directions.
Tashkent is interested in EAEU projects in biomedicine, energy, and robotics. Furthermore, Uzbekistan expressed its readiness to cooperate in creating a common information resource in the tourism sector.
