A new presidential decree has been adopted in the Republic of Uzbekistan to improve mechanisms for combating and preventing corruption. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to this document, modern digital solutions will be introduced in the sector, and control processes will be further strengthened. Based on the decree, from July 1, 2026, the "Digital Compliance" information software complex will be launched on a trial basis.
This platform will serve to coordinate anti-corruption measures, accelerate data exchange, and digitize control processes. In particular, this program will create the opportunity for rapid information exchange among cluster participants involved in corruption prevention.
Additionally, through the "E-Compliance" module, the activities of internal control units in state bodies and organizations will be fully digitized. The decree also expands the powers of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
From now on, the agency will have the right to issue mandatory instructions and submissions to internal control units located in the central offices of state institutions and organizations to prevent violations of the law. Furthermore, the decree provides for the protection of citizens who report corruption cases.
Special protection orders will be introduced to safeguard them from pressure and persecution at their workplace. In addition, to encourage citizens actively participating in the fight against corruption, a breastplate titled "For Contribution to the Fight Against Corruption" will be established.
These measures are expected to ensure transparency in the fight against corruption, increase efficiency, and strengthen public participation. Source: One.uz
