
In January-September 2025, 664.6 thousand babies were born in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official statistical data, the majority of births were attributed to mothers aged 25–39. Mothers in this age group constitute the most active segment of the country's birth rate.
According to data provided by the National Statistics Committee, births are distributed by the age of parents as follows. By fathers' age: those under 25 years old accounted for 11.3% (74,946 individuals), fathers aged 25–39 made up 81.6% (542,512 individuals), and fathers aged 40 and above accounted for 7.1% (47,140 individuals).
By mothers' age, mothers under 25 years old accounted for 40.6% (269,823 individuals), mothers aged 25–39 made up 58% (385,424 individuals), and mothers aged 40 and above accounted for 1.4% (9,351 individuals). These figures indicate that the majority of births in Uzbekistan are attributed to mothers aged 25–39.
Nevertheless, the share of mothers under 25 years old is also high, comprising nearly one in every two births. This statistic shows that the most active age group in matters of marriage and childbearing in the country is people aged 25–39.
