Major projects are being implemented to expand the territory of New Tashkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within the framework of this strategy, the construction of an educational cluster is given special attention. The main part of this cluster is allocated to the campus of the "New Uzbekistan" university, which has been operating since 2021.
It is planned to allocate 200 million dollars for this campus. This was reported by upl.uz.
According to official information, a land area of 50 hectares will be allocated for the university. All the necessary infrastructure for 10,000 students to study will be built in this area.
The construction works are being carried out by the Turkish company "Ozgven". According to the project, all facilities will be put into operation by 2027.
The university town will include five faculty buildings, an administrative building for the rectorate, a museum, exhibition halls, and multimedia rooms. The library will be able to accommodate more than a thousand visitors at the same time.
Additionally, sports and social infrastructure will also be established on the campus. In particular, housing for 2,000 people, dining facilities, a swimming pool, and a sports complex with 1,000 seats are planned to be built.
On a 4-hectare area adjacent to the university, a new building for the National Library of Uzbekistan is being constructed. This four-story building will have an area of 30,000 square meters.
The project combines national architectural traditions with modern technologies. The library will provide opportunities for safe storage of books, sterilization, and access to electronic databases.
At the same time, special reading zones for citizens with visual impairments are planned. The new library will be equipped with "smart" shelves based on RFID technology.
This system will determine the location of books in real time, facilitating the search process. Within the project, rest areas, sports grounds, and cafes will also be built for visitors.
Thus, these new complexes will contribute not only to the development of education and science but also to the enrichment of cultural life.
