The number of foreign tourists visiting Uzbekistan is increasing sharply.

Uzbekistan is achieving new and positive results in the tourism sector. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In January and February 2026, nearly 1.7 million foreign guests visited our country. This figure shows an increase of nearly three percent compared to the same period last year and is generating significant interest in society.
More specifically, the number of tourists increased by 40 thousand, with an overall growth rate of forty-three percent observed. This indicates that attention to our country is strengthening year by year.
Statistical analyses show that the majority of tourists visiting Uzbekistan traditionally consist of citizens from neighboring countries. Arrivals from these regions play a decisive role in increasing the total figures.
Kyrgyzstan takes first place, as more than seven hundred thousand guests visited from this country. Tajikistan and Kazakhstan took second and third places, respectively.
The number of tourists from these countries amounted to 706 thousand and 386 thousand, respectively. These figures clearly demonstrate the strengthening of regional cooperation and the facilitation of transport links across borders.
In addition, the flow of tourists from more distant countries has also increased significantly. Citizens of Russia were recorded first on the list of most visited distant countries with 713 thousand arrivals.
Furthermore, countries such as Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, China, and Turkey also sent a large number of guests. Citizens of India and South Korea also visited Uzbekistan to familiarize themselves with our country's historical and cultural wealth.
These extensive visits confirm that Uzbekistan has high tourism potential and is being recognized on an international scale. Hospitality, safety, and modern infrastructure in our country encourage foreign tourists to visit again every year.
We are fully confident that this positive trend will continue in the future and the number of tourists will increase even further.
