New National Nature Parks to be Established in Tashkent and Fergana

Significant developments have occurred in the field of nature conservation in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the decree adopted by the President on March 25, 2026, new national nature parks will be established in the Tashkent and Fergana regions. At the same time, the area of the existing park in Namangan region will be expanded.
This document holds great importance aimed at preserving the country's green wealth and creating a clean environment for future generations. A new national nature park named Ovjassoy Moviy Mountains will be opened in the Ohangaron district of Tashkent region.
This area belongs to the Ohangaron State Forestry Enterprise and covers an area of 9,200 hectares. The largest project in the region is the creation of the Pskom National Nature Park located in the Bostanliq district.
It occupies an area of 156,700 hectares and is established within the territory of the Burchmulla State Forestry Enterprise. Here, unique natural sites and a diverse world of plants will be preserved from human impact.
A new Fergana National Nature Park will also be established in the Fergana region. The total area of the park will be 22,900 hectares.
This area includes the reserve lands of Uzbekistan and the Sokh district as well as parts of the Fergana and Kokand forestry enterprises. As a result, the natural beauty of the Fergana Valley will be better protected.
In Namangan region, the territory of the Pop National Nature Park will be significantly expanded. Reserve lands in Mingbuloq and Pop hills as well as forestry areas will be added to the park.
After the expansion, the total area of the park will reach 125,300 hectares. This will create great opportunities for preserving biodiversity in the region.
Based on these measures, natural landscapes in our country will be better protected. Along with preserving biodiversity, modern conditions will be created for the development of ecotourism.
The newly opened and expanded parks will provide our people with the opportunity to see the healing natural environment, relax, and get closer to nature. Experts are confident that these projects will stabilize ecosystems in the regions and further develop the tourism sector.
