Young Ecologist Badge established in Uzbekistan
To further develop ecological culture and actively engage the younger generation in nature conservation efforts, it has been decided to establish the Young Ecologist Badge in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Zamin.uz reported on this matter.

This decision holds significant importance in popularizing green ideas across the country and encouraging future generations to care for the environment. According to the new regulations, starting from 2026, higher education institutions will develop special green campus projects to be implemented in collaboration with the Ecology Committee.

This initiative will focus on practical activities such as maintaining cleanliness in cities and villages, planting vegetation, and using natural resources economically. As a result, tangible outcomes will be achieved in protecting the environment and ensuring ecological stability.

Furthermore, starting from May 1, 2026, the previously popular Ten Thousand Steps Walking Project will be reinstated. Simultaneously, the Healthy Lifestyle Platform will commence its operations.

These measures aim to increase physical activity among the population, encourage movement, and widely promote a healthy lifestyle. It is planned to strengthen national health by habituating every citizen to walking and engaging in sports in their daily lives.

In addition, starting from May 1, 2026, the Young Ecologist Badge will be introduced in three levels. The third level is designated for school students, while the second level is set for students of technical colleges and higher education institutions.

The first-level badge will be awarded to young people who have achieved high results at international and local levels and made significant contributions to nature conservation. This novelty plays a decisive role in shaping ecological awareness among youth, engaging them in active initiatives, and strengthening their responsibility towards protecting nature.
