Starting from April 1, the electronic point-based fine system will be launched.

Starting April 1, a new fully automated electronic points-based fine system for drivers will be launched across Uzbekistan. Zamin.uz reported on this news.
This initiative is being introduced to enhance road safety and reduce traffic violations. Every violation detected through modern cameras at intersections, speed-monitoring radars, and other surveillance tools will be automatically entered into the electronic database and recorded.
Under the new regulations, drivers will receive a maximum of two penalty points for each violation. These points accumulate over time and can lead to serious consequences once a certain threshold is reached.
If a driver accumulates a total of twelve electronic points over twenty-four months, the system will automatically suspend their driving license for at least six months. To help drivers monitor their status, the system will send a special SMS alert notification once they reach eight penalty points.
This provides drivers with sufficient time to correct their behavior and exercise greater caution. Accumulated penalty points are automatically cancelled one year after the first recorded violation, provided that the driver does not exceed the twelve-point threshold during this period.
This mechanism offers citizens who comply with traffic rules the opportunity to clear their record and start anew. Drivers are offered various digital platforms to conveniently check their current penalty points status.
These include the official my.gov.uz portal, the MyGov mobile application, as well as popular payment and service apps such as Road24, Safe Road, Click, and Payme. Officials developed this automated system with the aim of improving overall road safety and encouraging all drivers across the country to strictly adhere to traffic rules.
In the future, this system is expected to play a crucial role in reducing road accidents and fostering a culture of orderly driving.
