Mirziyoyev and Kosherbayev Discussed the Development of Bilateral Cooperation

On the thirty-first of March, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held an important meeting with Yermek Kosherbayev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who came on an official visit to our country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At this meeting, key issues regarding the further development of close ties between the two neighboring states and the deepening of mutual cooperation were discussed. At the beginning of the conversation, the high-ranking guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the leader of Uzbekistan.
This opportunity once again confirmed the strong personal relations between the heads of state and the age-old friendship of the two peoples. During the high-level talks, the parties thoroughly examined pressing issues dedicated to strengthening strategic partnership and alliance.
Both sides expressed great satisfaction with the active cooperation currently being carried out between parliaments, governments, regional administrations, and business circles. Officials particularly emphasized the highly effective work of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, which has played an important role in advancing bilateral initiatives.
They acknowledged the steady growth of mutual trade turnover. In addition, cooperation is consistently expanding in areas such as industry, energy, transport and logistics, environmental protection, and sustainable use of water resources.
Special attention was paid to accelerating the implementation of joint economic projects. The agenda included launching new directions of cooperation in the field of rare metals, developing tourism, and expanding humanitarian exchange programs.
The leaders also explored innovative areas of cooperation, including the space industry and the creative economy. At the end of the meeting, participants emphasized the utmost importance of thoroughly preparing the agenda for future bilateral and multilateral events.
The President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs exchanged views on pressing issues of international and regional politics and once again confirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and sustainable development in Central Asia.
