Grants for foreign youth in Uzbekistan's higher education are increasing

Within the framework of the New Uzbekistan Scholarship program, opportunities for talented foreign youth to receive a grant-based education at Uzbekistan's higher education institutions are now expanding. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This initiative aims to cover up to five hundred foreign students annually. It is intended to make effective use of unused state grant quotas at the bachelor's level.
This step is considered an important move toward bringing our country's education system to an international level and creating favorable conditions for foreign students. Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, the admission process for foreign students will be further simplified.
In particular, it is planned to introduce a new admission system through the Study in Uzbekistan platform. At the same time, students who have completed an educational program in a foreign language will no longer be required to provide a language proficiency certificate when applying for the next stage of study.
This change serves to eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic barriers for international students. Reforms in the field of education are not limited only to admission processes.
According to the document, new structures aimed at developing the sector will also begin their operations. Specifically, a Center for the Development of Digital Education and Artificial Intelligence will be established on the basis of the Center for the Development of Digital Education Technologies.
Additionally, an Office for Supporting Innovative Initiatives will be launched. These updates create a strong foundation for improving the quality of education, widely implementing modern technologies in the learning process, and supporting scientific research.
Uzbekistan's higher education system is expected to strengthen its position in the international educational space and become a center providing high-quality knowledge.
