The legal aid system has been expanded.

The system for legally supporting underprivileged citizens in Uzbekistan has been further expanded. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reinforced by Law No. OʻRQ 1135, adopted on April 20, 2026. This law is considered a significant step in the field of social protection and demonstrates the state's active role in safeguarding citizens' rights.
According to the new regulation, individuals with limited financial means will have the right to receive state-funded legal assistance when appealing to the Constitutional Court to review the constitutionality of the law applied in judicial proceedings. This opportunity was previously restricted and has now been expanded to ensure equal rights for all citizens.
Additionally, the process of providing legal assistance has been simplified, with citizens' applications now being sent directly to the relevant judicial authorities through the Legal Assistance Information System. This innovation aims to provide prompt and efficient services to the population, as well as reduce the reprocessing of cases and save time.
It is emphasized that these changes will strengthen the legal protection of the population and expand opportunities for achieving a fair judicial system. The law came into force from the day of its official publication.
These legal changes mark the beginning of a new era in protecting citizens' rights and reinforce trust in the justice system.
