Direct flights between Tashkent and Guangzhou have been launched

Joyful news has been announced for our compatriots who love traveling across our country and for our entrepreneurs who have been developing trade relations between the two states. Zamin.uz reported on this.
The bonds of friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China have reached a new stage in the field of aviation. On May 28 of this year, the first direct flight between Tashkent and Guangzhou was successfully carried out by our country's national carrier, Uzbekistan Airways.
The airliner that took off from our capital was received with high respect on Chinese soil. The opening of this new air route is an important step toward strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The crew and first passengers of the Uzbek aircraft were solemnly welcomed at Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, the center of Guangdong province, one of China's largest and most developed regions. The ceremony was attended by regional aviation leadership, airport administration, officials of the national airline, and representatives of China's leading mass media.
During the meeting, industry experts spoke about the importance of this route, emphasizing that this flight is a modern continuation of the ancient Great Silk Road that has connected peoples for centuries. The establishment of regular flights between Guangzhou, considered China's largest production and trade center, and Tashkent, the main transport and logistics center of Central Asia, marks the beginning of a new era in bilateral relations.
This step will undoubtedly provide a strong impetus for the development of trade, investment flows, and cultural and humanitarian ties. At the same time, Chinese tourists also welcomed this convenience with great joy.
Foreign guests note that thanks to the new flights, the opportunity to get closer to Uzbekistan's unique and rich cultural and historical heritage has expanded. Now they can fly directly to our country to see with their own eyes the blue domes of Samarkand, the ancient streets of Bukhara, and the living museum-city of Khiva.
Flights on the Tashkent-Guangzhou route are scheduled to be carried out regularly once a week, on Wednesdays. As a result of the launch of this new air route, the flow of guests coming from China to Uzbekistan is expected to increase significantly.
This, in turn, will serve to further enhance the tourism potential of our country.
