Russian army shelled Pokrovsk: there are casualties
The Russian army launched two attacks on the city of Pokrovsk on March 10, according to the publication "Sospilne. Donbass," citing the press secretary of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office, Anastasiya Medvedeva.

According to reports, the invaders struck the city on the front line during the night and again around 11:00 AM. As a result of the first attack, a 76-year-old citizen was killed. In the subsequent attack, a 37-year-old man was injured, with a shrapnel found in his thigh.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are determining what type of weapons were used to strike Pokrovsk. However, due to the casualties among the civilian population as a result of the attack, the prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation into violations of the laws of war (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code).

It is known that at the beginning of March 2025, more than 3,000 citizens still remain in Pokrovsk. About 500 people agreed to leave the city within a week. Meanwhile, Russian forces continue to bombard the city.

Additionally, Russian military personnel have changed tactics on the Donetsk front, reducing attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, but it has been noted that they are increasing their forces in the Toretsk direction. This situation is related to the tactical achievements of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
