A shooting occurred in an office in New York
A shooting in a multi-story office building located in Manhattan, New York, resulted in the deaths of four people. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Among the victims was New York police officer Didarul Islam. The shooter, 27-year-old Shane Devon Tamura, took his own life after the incident.

The shooting occurred on Monday evening at the building located at 345 Park Avenue. According to police, Tamura entered the building with an automatic rifle and opened fire in the lobby.

He then took the elevator to the upper floors, shot and killed another person, and then shot himself. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated that the shooter was the first to shoot officer Islam in the building where NFL and Blackstone companies are located.

Surveillance cameras clearly captured him entering with a weapon. After reaching the 33rd floor, he opened fire again in the area where Ruden Building Management is located.

Tamura had traveled from Las Vegas, and his connection to the city or the building has not yet been determined. He was a registered gun owner from Nevada, and ammunition was found in his car.

Didarul Islam had moved from Bangladesh, had two children, and his wife is pregnant with their third child. He had served in the New York police force for the past three years.

Commissioner Tisch called him a true hero. The shooting caused great panic in Manhattan, with people hiding in their shelters while police worked for several hours to clear the building.

The incident led to increased security measures in the city.
