India rejected US mediation, the conflict stopped with its strategy
The Indian Ministry of Defense rejected claims by U.S. President Donald Trump that the United States mediated the cessation of conflict between India and Pakistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized in a speech in parliament that military operations were concluded not under any external pressure, but after achieving the set strategic objectives. This statement was made during a parliamentary discussion regarding the terrorist attack that occurred on April 22 in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which is under Indian control.

In this attack, 26 tourists were killed. India has stated that Pakistan is behind this attack, while Islamabad has denied such accusations.

Following the attack, India launched military operations named "Sindur." For four days, intense military clashes occurred between the two countries.

This is considered one of the most serious conflicts of the past decade. President Trump has repeatedly emphasized that the ceasefire was achieved through U.S. mediation at the end of the conflict.

However, Rajnath Singh assessed these claims as baseless and incorrect. According to him, military operations were only halted after India achieved its political and military objectives.

Singh also stated that the decision was made based on a request for assistance from the Director of the Pakistan Military Intelligence. The Pakistani side has not yet responded to these claims.

According to the Defense Minister, during the 22-minute strikes, nine terrorist infrastructures located in the Pakistan-controlled Kashmir region were targeted. As a result, over a hundred terrorists, along with their trainers and assistants, were eliminated.

The Indian government described this action as a measure to ensure justice for the families of those killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Meanwhile, opposition representatives reminded the government of Islamabad's statements about shooting down five Indian military aircraft and one without a pilot, demanding clarification.

Rajnath Singh denied this information and emphasized that there was no damage to Indian military infrastructure. The Defense Minister stated that if there is any further aggression from Pakistan, India is prepared to resume military operations.
