As a result of the war that has been ongoing for 22 months in the Gaza Strip, thousands of families are living in conditions of hunger and poverty. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Their lives are becoming increasingly difficult day by day. One example that clearly illustrates this situation is the life of the Sobha family, who are residing in a temporary camp in Gaza City.
Fadi and Sobha wake up every morning searching for the answer to the question, “What will we find for our children today?” They are living in a temporary tent by the seaside with their six young children.
They have been forced to move several times due to the war. They have three options left for finding food: getting meals from a charity kitchen, trying to get flour from a relief truck, or asking someone for help.
However, none of these methods are permanent or guaranteed. Sobha goes out every day to find breakfast.
Sometimes she finds a handful of chickpeas, and sometimes she finds nothing at all. Fadi sets out waiting for the charity kitchen to open.
The kitchen opens only once a week, the line is long, and the food is not sufficient. Previously, he would go to where the relief trucks arrived, but last month he was injured in his leg.
“Now I have stopped getting food from the truck; I don’t have the strength,” he says. Sobha is also becoming weaker day by day.
Searching for water, food, and fuel is becoming very difficult for her. She reports that she is becoming faint from hunger and feels dizzy.
“I have no strength left. If the war continues, I am thinking about ending my life.
I am trying to live for my children, but it is becoming harder to endure every day,” she says. This incident highlights the severe social and economic problems in the Gaza Strip and reflects the complex conditions in people's lives.
