One third of young people aged 18 to 35 in Russia aim to earn at least 200 thousand rubles per month at the peak of their professional careers. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Peopletalk publication, analysts came to this conclusion based on the results of a joint survey. 28% of respondents in the survey dream of increasing their monthly salary to between 400 thousand and 500 thousand rubles.
For 24% of respondents, a comfortable income is around 100 thousand rubles, while 16% aim for a salary above 300 thousand rubles. Opinions differ regarding the age of reaching the professional peak: 44% of participants consider the period from 36 to 40 years old as the most productive, while 38% believe the years from 30 to 35 are the highest stage of professional growth.
The remaining 18% see this age range as between 40 and 50 years old. Current income levels also vary: 27% of young Russians earn up to 50 thousand rubles per month, 22% earn between 51 thousand and 81 thousand rubles, 24% earn between 81 thousand and 101 thousand rubles, and another 27% receive a salary above 101 thousand rubles.
The survey results indicate that most have started to build financial reserves. The main methods of saving are bank deposits, investing in stocks and bonds.
Less frequently, investments are made in life insurance, real estate, or gold. The primary goals of saving are purchasing a home and securing a future pension.
This study was conducted in August 2025 among more than 2,300 economically active young people aged 18 to 35 across Russia. At the same time, average wages in Russia continue to rise.
According to Rosstat data, in May 2025 the average monthly salary amounted to 99,422 rubles, an increase of 14.5% compared to the same period last year. In some sectors, employee salaries are two to three times higher than this figure.
