Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's associates have expressed that no major achievements or agreements were reached as a result of the summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Christopher Miller, a correspondent for the Financial Times, presented this information based on sources close to the Ukrainian leader. An unnamed aide to the Ukrainian president stated that the US has not yet contacted Zelenskyy and described the situation as very strange.
Additionally, another source close to the Ukrainian leader called the meeting held in Alaska insignificant. On the other hand, Donald Trump announced at his press conference that he recently called Zelenskyy to inform him about the summit's outcomes.
He said he would also reach out to NATO representatives and call individuals he found close and appropriate. Trump emphasized that he is ready to provide President Zelenskyy with full information about today's meeting.
For reference, Trump and Putin met on August 15 at a military base located in Anchorage, Alaska. No official agreement was reached at the end of the meeting.
The presidents gave a brief statement to the press but later left the hall without answering journalists' questions. This summit did not lead to significant changes in relations between the two sides.
