A very bright fireball that appeared in the sky over western Japan amazed the public and excited stargazers. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to experts, this bright flash visible from hundreds of kilometers away was caused by an exceptionally bright meteor. NHK reporter Yoshihiko Hamahata stated that he witnessed the event while driving in Miyazaki Prefecture.
He said he saw a white light descending from above, so intense that the surrounding houses were clearly visible. The scene gave the impression as if dawn had broken.
He expressed that he was suddenly astonished and bewildered. The director of the Space Museum, Toshihisa Maeda, also confirmed that this event was a very bright meteor.
He mentioned that the meteor might have fallen into the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, he emphasized that people felt vibrations in the air and that the meteor shone as brightly as the Moon.
According to NASA data, objects causing such events are usually larger than one meter. These objects that create bright explosions in the atmosphere are scientifically referred to as "bolides."
This event is considered one of the rare and fascinating natural phenomena.
