A new diplomatic dispute has arisen between France and the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has officially summoned the US ambassador in Paris, Charles Kushner. This decision is related to a critical letter written by the ambassador, in which he criticized the French government for not taking sufficient measures against the rising antisemitism in the country.
According to the statement from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kushner addressed the country's president, Emmanuel Macron, expressing serious concern about the increase in antisemitism. He also emphasized that the government’s actions to address this issue have been ineffective and weak.
Official Paris, however, considers these accusations completely unfounded and firmly rejects them. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the ambassador’s statements as unacceptable and reminded that they violate international law rules.
The statement noted that the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of states is clearly defined in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations adopted in 1961. According to information, Charles Kushner will be summoned to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 25, where an official protest will be made to him.
This incident marks a new phase in diplomatic relations between the two countries.
