The city community experienced a dark day. An armed attack took place at the school, resulting in the deaths of at least two children, and seventeen other students were injured to varying degrees.

The attack occurred at the Annunciation church and school building located in the southern part of the city. At the time of the attack, children were participating in a prayer ceremony at the school and church.
According to law enforcement agencies, two children aged eight and ten died from gunfire through the church window. The attacker, 23-year-old Robin Westman, committed suicide at the scene.
The police identified his identity but have not yet disclosed the motives for the attack. According to preliminary information, the police received a report at eight o'clock local time.
The attacker arrived at the church and fired shots from two different rifles and one shotgun. A smoke bomb was also found at the scene.
The ten-year-old survivor described being saved by a friend as follows: “I was sitting two seats to the left of the window. My friend Victor lay on top of me to protect me but was injured himself.”
This incident not only caused deep sorrow and fear among the city's residents but also reminded the entire country once again of the necessity to protect children and create a safe environment in schools.
