According to Bloomberg agency, during the conversation, the parties emphasized the importance of ensuring regional stability and deepening strategic dialogue. Xi Jinping believes that China and India, as ancient civilizations, bear great responsibility in contributing to human progress.
He expressed the necessity of maintaining good neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries and supporting each other. Xi Jinping noted that these relations should be developed from a long-term and strategic perspective.
Narendra Modi supported these views, emphasizing that bilateral relations should develop based on mutual respect and trust. These statements demonstrated the parties' readiness to expand practical cooperation.
Additionally, today the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit began in Tianjin city. The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is also participating.
High-level dialogues held within the summit are expected to serve the development of peace, open trade routes, and transport-logistics connections in Central and South Asia as well as the broader Eurasian region. Overall, cooperation between China and India may inject new energy into regional diplomacy.
