Putin emphasized the stable development of relations between Russia and Turkey. He also announced that the number of Russian tourists traveling to Turkey has reached a record high.
This year, more than 6.7 million Russians have visited Turkey, representing a 6.3 percent increase compared to last year. President Erdoğan noted that cooperation between the two countries in trade-economic, investment, tourism, and energy sectors is steadily expanding.
He expressed his readiness to further develop dialogue based on mutual trust with Russia and emphasized the aspiration to continue joint efforts for the prosperity of both peoples. The situation related to the crisis in Ukraine was also discussed during the meeting.
Putin highly appreciated Turkey's pursuit of peace and efforts to seek diplomatic solutions. The Russian President emphasized that Russia regards Turkey as a reliable and time-tested partner and particularly values its constructive role in international arenas.
This meeting is expected to serve to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
