Another tragic incident occurred in the northern region of Pakistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On the morning of September 1, five people died as a result of a military helicopter crash in the Gilgit-Baltistan province. This was reported by local media outlets, including the Dawn newspaper.
According to information, the incident happened around 10:00 near the city of Chilas. The helicopter belonged to the Gilgit-Baltistan authorities and is believed to have crashed due to technical failure while attempting to land on a newly constructed runway.
Police and rescue services promptly arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, five military personnel on board the helicopter lost their lives.
It was reported that among them were Commander Major Atif, Commander Major Faisal, Flight Engineer Naib Subedar Maqbul, Crew Leader Havaldar Jahongir, and Naik Amir. Officials are currently conducting an investigation to determine the causes of the crash.
Preliminary information suggests that technical failure may be the main factor. Military and local authorities have been involved in the investigation.
