
At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit held in Tianjin, an important agreement was signed on the initiation of a new strategic partnership between China and Armenia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the joint statement, the two countries announced their decision to further strengthen mutual cooperation. Additionally, it was emphasized that Taiwan is an integral part of China.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, during the meeting within the summit, both sides stated that they have stepped into a new phase. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the expanded format meetings of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the negotiations, the necessity to deepen cooperation in the fields of science, education, culture, tourism, information, and metrology was noted. Pashinyan confirmed Armenia's interest in joining the organization and expressed the intention to expand cooperation.
The parties agreed to strengthen joint actions within the SCO framework and to implement new projects. According to the Armenian government, Xi Jinping emphasized China's firm support for Armenia's political independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Furthermore, China expressed full support for Armenia's "World Crossroads" initiative and the development of regional communication routes. Thus, the summit in Tianjin marked a new era in China-Armenia relations and laid a solid foundation for strengthening ties between the two countries.
This cooperation will be of significant importance for regional stability and development in the future.
